Dr Matshidiso Moeti, WHO Regional Director for Africa has been invited by the European Parliament Committee on Environment, Public Health and Food Safety (ENVI) to discuss health and communicable diseases in the WHO African Region on November 21 during the European Parliament African Week.
The Exchange of views will be an opportunity to discuss health in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals with a focus on communicable diseases, health emergencies and the key role of Universal Health Coverage.
The African Week organized by the European Parliament takes place one week before the fifth African Union-European Union Summit that will be organized in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire from 29 to 30 November.
