Through the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), the world expressed solidarity for the global agenda to benefit the world’s poorest and most vulnerable (1). In respect of health, the goals were to reduce child mortality, improve maternal health and in a special way, push to combat HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases (2).
