ESWATINI THIRD QUARTER NEWSLETTER

This newsletter contains the tremendous work of the WCO’s support to the Kingdom of Eswatini during the third quarter of 2024. Through guidance and technical support from the World Health Organization, Eswatini made tremendous strides in the health sector during this period. These include the successful completion of the Join External Evaluation, which seeks to assess the progress made by the country in responding to public health emergencies since the last JEE in 2018. The country also conducted a series of capacity building sessions for health workers to prepare them to respond to Mpox and other health emergencies. Further, WHO monitored the services provided to the people of Eswatini through supportive supervision sessions. Supportive supervision monitors the effectiveness of prevention services through vaccination. Through guidance from WHO, the country’s health facilities provide quality vaccination services, from cold chain to vaccine management.
