Update COVID-19 14 November 2020

14 November 2020 — Thirty-two (32) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 3128 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to five thousand, three hundred, and ninety-four (5394). To date, four thousand, nine hundred, and ninety-four (4994) patients have recovered, including one (1) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is three hundred and fifty-eight (358) and forty-two (42) deaths.  


The new cases are in Kigali (1), Muhanga (30) testing in Muhanga Prison, and Nyanza (1); heightened vigilance is required everywhere. 

Update COVID-19 13 November 2020

13 November 2020 — Forty-three (43) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 2759 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to five thousand, three hundred, and sixty-two (5362). To date, four thousand, nine hundred, and ninety-three (4993) patients have recovered, including nineteen (19) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is three hundred and twenty-eight (328) and forty-two (42) deaths.  The new death is a man Rwandan of 72 years old in Rwamagana District.

UN Rwanda: Frw19.6 Billion and counting as the fight against COVID-19 continues

Between March and September 2020, the UN Rwanda has mobilized more than Frw 19.6 Billion to support the Government of Rwanda in the fight against COVID-19. The numbers were made public this Friday 5 November during the UN One Family meeting with Donors, Development Partners, and the Government represented by Amb. Guillaume Kavaruganda, Director General in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The Director General thanked Development Partners for their continuous support to the country in different sectors, especially in fighting COVID-19.

12 November 2020 — Seven (7) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 1917 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to five thousand, three hundred, and nineteen (5319). To date, four thousand, nine hundred, and seventy-four (4974) patients have recovered, with no one in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is three hundred and four (304) and forty-one (41) deaths.  


The new cases are in Kigali (4), Nyagatare (2), and Rubavu (1); heightened vigilance is required everywhere. 

Update COVID-19 11 November 2020

11 November 2020 — Fifty (50) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 2860 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to five thousand, three hundred, and twelve (5312). To date, four thousand, nine hundred, and seventy-four (4974) patients have recovered, including seven (7) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is two hundred and ninety-seven (297) and forty-one (41) deaths.  The new death is a man Rwandan of 88 years old in Rwamagana District.

10 November 2020 — Twenty (20) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 2974 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to five thousand, two hundred, and sixty-two (5262). To date, four thousand, nine hundred, and sixty-seven (4967) patients have recovered, with no one in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is two hundred and fifty-five (255) and forty (40) deaths.  The new deaths are 2 men Rwandan of 45 and 50 years respectively in Rwamagana District.

09 November 2020 — Twenty 20) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 1293 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to five thousand, two hundred, and forty-two (5242). To date, four thousand, nine hundred, and sixty-seven (4967) patients have recovered, including seven (7) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is two hundred and thirty-seven (237) and thirty-ight (38) deaths.  The new deaths are 2 men Rwandan of 45 years each in Rwamagana District.

08 November 2020 — NIne (9) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 1741 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to five thousand, two hundred, and twenty-two (5222). To date, four thousand, nine hundred, and sixty (4960) patients have recovered, including seven (7) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is two hundred and twenty-seven (227) and thirty-six (36) deaths.

07 November 2020 — Five (5) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 2859 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to five thousand, two hundred, and thirteen (5213). To date, four thousand, nine hundred, and fifty-three (4953) patients have recovered, with no one in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is two hundred and twenty-five (225) and thirty-six (36) deaths.  


The new cases are in Kigali (4), and Rubavu (1); heightened vigilance is required everywhere.

06 November 2020 — Sixteen (16) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 1333 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to five thousand, two hundred, and eight (5208). To date, four thousand, nine hundred, and fifty-three (4953) patients have recovered, including thirteen (13) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is two hundred and twenty (220) and thirty-six (36) deaths.  


The new cases are in Kigali (6), Nyagatare (6), Rubavu (2), and Rusizi (2); heightened vigilance is required everywhere.
