Update COVID-19 20 November 2020

20 November 2020 — Twenty-nine (29) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 4140 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to five thousand, five hundred, and eighty-two (5586). To date, five thousand, one hundred, and thirty-seven (5159) patients have recovered, including twenty-two (22) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is three hundred and eighty-one (381) and forty-six (46) deaths.


The new cases are in Kigali (7), Nyamasheke (3), Nyagatare (2), Rusizi (1), and Musanze (1); heightened vigilance is required everywhere. 

Update COVID-19 19 November 2020

19 November 2020 — Twenty-nine (29) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 2709 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to five thousand, five hundred, and seventy-two (5572). To date, five thousand, one hundred, and thirty-seven (5137) patients have recovered, including fifty (50) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is three hundred and eighty-nine (389) and forty-six (46) deaths.


The new cases are in Kigali (3), Bugesera (10), Musanze (1), Nyanza (11), and Rubavu (4); heightened vigilance is required everywhere. 

Update COVID-19 18 November 2020

18 November 2020 — Thirty-six (36) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 2392 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to five thousand, five hundred, and forty-three (5543). To date, five thousand, and eighty-seven (5087) patients have recovered, including seventy-nine (79) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is four hundred and ten (410) and forty-six (46) deaths. The new death is a man Rwandan of 75 years old.

Update COVID-19 17 November 2020

17 November 2020 — Sixteen (16) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 3051 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to five thousand, five hundred, and seven (5507). To date, five thousand, and eight (5008) patients have recovered, including four (4) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is four hundred and fifty-three (453) and forty-six (46) deaths. The new death is a man Rwandan of 75 years old.

Update COVID-19 16 November 2020

16 November 2020 — Thirty-six (36) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 1545 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to five thousand, four hundred, and ninety-one (5491). To date, five thousand, and four (5004) patients have recovered, including nine (9) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is four hundred and forty-two (442) and forty-five (45) deaths. 


The new cases are in Kigali (31), tested in Nyarugenge Prison, Kirehe (1), Nyagatare (1) and Rusizi (3); heightened vigilance is required everywhere. 

Update COVID-19 15 November 2020

 November 2020 — Sixty-one (61) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 1449 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to five thousand, four hundred, and fifty-five (5455). To date, four thousand, nine hundred, and ninety-five (4995) patients have recovered, including one (1) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is four hundred and fifteen (415) and forty-five (45) deaths.  The new deaths are 3 men Rwandan of 36, 62, and 85 years old in Rwamagana District.

14 November 2020 — Thirty-two (32) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 3128 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to five thousand, three hundred, and ninety-four (5394). To date, four thousand, nine hundred, and ninety-four (4994) patients have recovered, including one (1) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is three hundred and fifty-eight (358) and forty-two (42) deaths.  


The new cases are in Kigali (1), Muhanga (30) testing in Muhanga Prison, and Nyanza (1); heightened vigilance is required everywhere. 

Update COVID-19 13 November 2020

13 November 2020 — Forty-three (43) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 2759 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to five thousand, three hundred, and sixty-two (5362). To date, four thousand, nine hundred, and ninety-three (4993) patients have recovered, including nineteen (19) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is three hundred and twenty-eight (328) and forty-two (42) deaths.  The new death is a man Rwandan of 72 years old in Rwamagana District.

UN Rwanda: Frw19.6 Billion and counting as the fight against COVID-19 continues

Between March and September 2020, the UN Rwanda has mobilized more than Frw 19.6 Billion to support the Government of Rwanda in the fight against COVID-19. The numbers were made public this Friday 5 November during the UN One Family meeting with Donors, Development Partners, and the Government represented by Amb. Guillaume Kavaruganda, Director General in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The Director General thanked Development Partners for their continuous support to the country in different sectors, especially in fighting COVID-19.

12 November 2020 — Seven (7) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 1917 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to five thousand, three hundred, and nineteen (5319). To date, four thousand, nine hundred, and seventy-four (4974) patients have recovered, with no one in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is three hundred and four (304) and forty-one (41) deaths.
