Zambia 2021 Global Youth Tobacco Survey (GYTS) Country Report
The Ministry of Health, in collaboration with WHO and Africa CDC, launched the Zambia 2021 Global Youth Tobacco Survey (GYTS) Country Report in December 2024. The report provides the latest statistics on tobacco use among adolescents in Zambia and offers valuable insights for policymakers, educators, and health professionals.
The 2021 GYTS Country Report presents findings from a survey conducted among 6,499 students in grades 7-9 from 81 selected schools across the country. This extensive data collection highlights the prevalence and patterns of tobacco use among young people, helping inform effective interventions and policies.
