Accelerating progress towards Universal Health Coverage

Accelerating progress towards Universal Health Coverage

Looking back on our work in the past year, we are making great strides in fulfilling our mission to improve the health and well-being of populations along the life course using people centered health systems to achieve universal health coverage.

Our work this year focuses on supporting an African Region where everyone’s health and well-being is enhanced. A region where mothers, children, adolescents, and young people survive, thrive, and reach their full potential and age healthy.

In this issue:

  • Supporting the small island developing states to increase access to health products
  • Reducing shortage of essential medicines in the CEMAC zone
  • Legal reforms to enhance progress towards UHC in the african region
  • Accelerating progress for reproductive maternal neonatal child and adolescent health and nutrition in french speaking countries
  • Unlock the vast potential of traditional medicine to realize Universal Health Coverage
  • Addressing fragmentation in Cameroon’s public health programs
  • Improving the availability and quality of health data in Cape Verde
  • Integrated health care for older people in the Republic of Mauritius
