WHO guidance note for estimating the longevity of long-lasting insecticidal nets in malaria control September 2013
This technical document has two main purposes: to provide guidance to countries to track long-lasting insecticidal nets (LLIN) durability in order to support management of resupply; and in the future to inform procurement decisions that take into account the number of years of protection as opposed to unit cost of LLINs.
The document is aimed at malaria programme staff and researchers who are directly involved in the collection and analysis of data on LLIN durability in the field in order to allow standardization of procedures and analysis of LLIN durability estimates across countries.
