Zambia Cholera Outbreak Situation Update - 17 February 2018
As at 06:00hrs AM today 17th February 2018, Lusaka District recorded 15 new cases of Cholera in the last 24 hours ( 4paediatrics and 11adults). Of these 5 reported directly to Heroes cholera Hospital, 2 to Kanyama, 7 to Chawama, 1 in Chipata CTC. Chelstone, Chipata and Bauleni CTUs did not record any new cases. There were no Cholera deaths recorded.The cumulative national total is 4,164 with 85 deaths. A total of 28 patients are currently under treatment. CFR Lusaka = 1.93 (Facility CFR = 0.78%), CFR National = 2.0% (facility CFR = 0.83%).
