Abuja, 18 October, 2022 - Living at the Internally Displaced Persons’ (IDPs) camp in Damagaza in Abuja, 20- years old Anifa Tsani, a mother of one, is glad she can now make informed choices on her sexual and reproductive health.

She started living in the camp at a very young age and married into the same environment where she barely had enough food to eat. 

Abuja, 13 October, 2022 - As of November 2019, Chidinma Ebele, 22 years old (not his real name), was on top of his game, starting a new job as a research assistant at a non-governmental organization in Abuja. 
 
He had plans outlined for 2020 until the COVID-19 pandemic struck, and things went downhill for him.  At the beginning of the pandemic, he had no cause to be alarmed but as the pandemic dragged on coupled with the lockdowns, the situation became daunting.

Having been diagnosed with schizophrenia at the university in 1990, Dr Terver Simon Chieshi had to suspend school for a year to seek medical treatment. 

He recalled that being a final-year medical student coming to terms with the diagnosis was not easy.

“I usually look forward to when they administer the periodic malaria drugs because I have seen first-hand how it prevents children from falling ill. Previously, I used to refuse the drugs because I was not sure what it was until a community health educator explained the benefit. 

Abuja, 19 September, 2022 - In December 2017, Oluwatayo Akingbile, then 20 years old, understood the harsh implication of using medications without a prescription after losing a friend who thought he had malaria and had used an anti-malaria drug without testing or prescription. 
 
“We were university students, and my friend bought the drug on the counter at a pharmacy, and after taking the medication, he started complaining of unusual sweating and abdominal discomfort.
