04 October 2020 — Fourteen (14) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 1853 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to four thousand, eight hundred, and sixty-six (4866). To date, three thousand, two hundred, and sixteen (3216) patients have recovered and been discharged, including five (5) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is one thousand, six hundred, and twenty-one (1621) and twenty-nine (29) deaths. 

03 October 2020 — Five (5) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 2568 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to four thousand, eight hundred, and fifty-two (4852). To date, three thousand, two hundred, and eleven (3211) patients have recovered and been discharged, including twenty-nine (14) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is one thousand, six hundred, and twelve (1612) and twenty-nine (29) deaths. 

The new cases are in Kigali (4), and Nyamagabe (1); heightened vigilance is required everywhere. 

02 October 2020 — Four (4) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 1873 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to four thousand, eight hundred, and forty-seven (4847). To date, three thousand, one hundred, and ninety-seven (3197) patients have recovered and been discharged, including twenty-nine (29) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is one thousand, six hundred, and twenty-one (1621) and twenty-nine (29) deaths. 

Abuja, 2 October, 2020 - To commemorate the 2020 UN International Day of Older Persons, the Permanent Secretary of Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, reiterated the commitment of the Federal Government towards ensuring the welfare of older persons in Nigeria saying that "the pandemics like COVID-19 places older persons at greater risk.” 

The confirmation of SARS coronavirus-2 in Accra, Ghana on 12 March 2020 was inevitable given the trend at the time in the Africa Region and the rest of the world. The outbreak spread to the rest of the country affecting all 16 regions. As at 30 September 2020, Ghana has recorded 46,222 cases with 299 deaths.

30 September 2020 — Four (4) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 2807 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to four thousand, eight hundred, and forty (4840). To date, three thousand, one hundred, and fifty-four (3154) patients have recovered and been discharged, including twenty-nine (29) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is one thousand, six hundred, and fifty-seven (1657) and twenty-nine (29) deaths. 

29 September 2020 — Four (4) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 2761 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to four thousand, eight hundred, and thirty-six (4836). To date, three thousand, one hundred, and twenty-five (3125) patients have recovered and been discharged, including eight (8) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is one thousand, six hundred, and eighty-two (1682) and twenty-nine (29) deaths. 

The new cases are in Kigali (3), and Bugesera (1); heightened vigilance is required everywhere.
