COVID_19 Update Rwanda

24 May 2020 — Two (2) new CoVID_19 cases were identified out of 1400 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to three hundred and twenty-seven (327). To date, two hundred and thirty-seven (237) patients have recovered and been discharged, including ten (10) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is ninety (90).


 All active cases are in isolation in stable condition.

Since Zambia reported its first case of COVID 19 on 18 March 2020, cases have been on the upswing.  During recent weeks confirmed cases rose from 103 on 1 May 2020 to 920 by May 22 with a total number of seven deaths. Zambia has also seen an increase of cases of COVID-19 in the northern  town of  Nakonde due to a porous border. More than 80 health workers have been affected by the virus countrywide.

23 May 2020 — Five (5) new CoVID_19 cases were identified out of 1109 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to three hundred and twenty-five (325). To date, two hundred and twenty-seven (227) patients have recovered and been discharged, including five (5) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is ninety-eight (98).


 All active cases are in isolation in stable condition.

22 May 2020 — One (1) new CoVID_19 case was identified out of 1568 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to three hundred and twenty-one (321). To date, two hundred and twenty-two (222) patients have recovered and been discharged, including five (5) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is ninety-nine (99).


 All active cases are in isolation in stable condition.

The COVID-19 pandemic today reached a milestone in Africa, with more than 100 000 confirmed cases. The virus has now spread to every country in the continent since the first case was confirmed in the region 14 weeks ago.

21 May 2020 — Six (6) new CoVID_19 cases were identified out of 1083 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to three hundred and twenty (320). To date, two hundred and seventeen (217) patients have recovered and been discharged, including one (1) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is a hundred and three (103).


 All active cases are in isolation in stable condition.

COVID_19 Update Rwanda

30 April 2020 — Eighteen (18) new CoVID_19 cases were identified out of 1140 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to two hundred and forty-three (243). To date, a hundred and four (104) patients have recovered and been discharged, including six (6) in the past 24 hrs. The number of active cases is a hundred and thirty-nine (139).

This increase of new confirmed cases reflects a rise in cases of cross-border truck drivers and their assistants. All active cases are in isolation in stable condition.

COVID_19 Update Rwanda

05 May 2020 — No new CoVID_19 case was identified out of 896 samples tested today. The cumulative number of confirmed cases remains two hundred and sixty-one (261). To date, a hundred and twenty-nine (129) patients have recovered and been discharged, including one (1) in the past 24 hrs. The number of active cases remains a hundred and thirty-two (132).


 All active cases are in isolation in stable condition.

 
The Government of Rwanda decided a progressive lift of lockdown starting 04/05/2020.

10 May 2020 — Four (4) new CoVID_19 cases were identified out of 1040 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to two hundred and eighty-four (284). To date, a hundred and forty (140) patients have recovered and been discharged. The number of active cases is a hundred and forty-four (144).


 All active cases are in isolation in stable condition.
