DRC: Ending to Tuberculosis through Early Detection

Tuberculosis is an infectious disease that kills thousands of people around the world every year.

In 2023, more than 260,000 cases were recorded, but according to the National Tuberculosis Programme this figure does not reflect the reality.

Stigmatization, late diagnosis, and the remote screening centres are challenges to the fight against the disease in the country.

WHO is providing support to the DRC for systematic screening of at-risk populations with free treatment.
