WHO jointly with MOH had conducted a research dissemination workshop on 30 September 2019 at Orotta hospital conference hall.

WHO Eritrea has provided a training to over 35 health workers as part of strengthening their capacities in the control and elimination of the disease lymphatic filariasis at the conference hall of the National confederation of Eritrean Workers from 30 September up to 4 October 2019.

The Honorable Minister of Health of the state of Eritrea, Mrs Amina Nurhussein extended invitation to WHO Representative to Eritrea, Dr Martins Ovberedjo and UNFPA Representative to Eritrea, Ms.

Government of the state of Eritrea has made a profound progress on the three programs of communicable diseases control program namely HIV, TB and Malaria, which emphasizes the value they place on ensuring health for all populations.

Over 34 participants were trained on national health account from 26 to 30 August 2019 at the National Confederation of Eritrean Workers’ Hall.

Eritrea, 7 August 2019 - Asmara, new WHO Representative to Eritrea Dr Martins Ovberedjo presented his credentials to the Honorable Minister of Foreign Affairs, His excellency Mr Osman Saleh and the Minister of Health, Her excellency Mrs Amina Nurhussien.

MOH and WHO conducted medical devices registration guideline consensus building workshop at National Confederation of Eritrean Workers’ Conference Hall in June 2019.

Infection prevention and control (IPC) is a scientific approach and practical solution designed to prevent harm caused by infection to patients and health workers.  In line to the Universal health coverage (UHC) roadmap, the MOH in collaboration with WHO have conducted a workshop for finalization of the guideline on the 3rd July 2019.

WHO Eritrea in cooperation with MOH held a workshop on Vulnerability Risk Assessment and Mapping from 27 to 31 May 2019 at Hotel Asmara Palace.
