Update COVID-19 01 July 2020

01 July 2020 — Seventeen (17) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 3961 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to one thousand and forty-two (1042). To date, four hundred and eighty (480) patients have recovered and been discharged, including thirty-three (33) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is five hundred and fifty-nine (559) and two (3) deaths. The new death is 51 years old Rwanda Defense Forces Officer who got COVID-19 abroad and had underlying conditions.

Update COVID-19 30 June 2020

30 June 2020 — Twenty-four (24) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 3694 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to one thousand and twenty-five (1025). To date, four hundred and forty-seven (447) patients have recovered and been discharged, including four (4) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is five hundred and seventy-six (576) and two (2) deaths.

Update COVID-19 29 June 2020

29 June 2020 — A hundred and one (101) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 2498 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to one thousand and one (1001). To date, four hundred and forty-three (443) patients have recovered and been discharged. The number of active cases is five hundred and fifty-six (556) and two (2) deaths.

Update COVID-19 28 June 2020

28 June 2020 — Twenty-two (22) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 3002 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to nine hundred (900). To date, four hundred and forty-three (443) patients have recovered and been discharged, including thirty (30) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is four hundred and fifty-five (455) and two (2) deaths.


The new cases are from Rusizi (8), Rubavu (7), Kigali (6) and Kirehe (1); heightened vigilance is required everywhere. 
 All active cases are in isolation in stable condition.  

Update COVID-19 27 June 2020

27 June 2020 — Twenty (20) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 4702 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to eight hundred and seventy-eight (878). To date, four hundred and thirteen (413) patients have recovered and been discharged, including fifteen (15) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is four hundred and sixty-three (463) and two (2) deaths.


The new cases are from Rusizi (15), Rubavu (3) and Kigali (2); heightened vigilance is required everywhere. 
 All active cases are in isolation in stable condition.  

Update COVID-19 26 June 2020

26 June 2020 — Eight (8) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 3763 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to eight hundred and fifty-eight (858). To date, three hundred and ninety-eight (398) patients have recovered and been discharged, including thirteen (13) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is four hundred and fifty-eight (458) and two (2) deaths.


The new cases are from Rusizi (4) and Kigali (4); heightened vigilance is required everywhere. 
 All active cases are in isolation in stable condition.  

The integrated Mother and Child Health Week during COVID-19 Pandemic in Rwanda

Rwanda concluded on 19th June its biannual Integrated Mother and Child Health Week organized from 15th to 19th June 2020. This event was first postponed in March 2020, due to the outbreak of COVID-19 in Rwanda. The Mother and Child week is organized twice a year and serves as an opportunity to scale up health services provision, particularly to the hard-to-reach and the most vulnerable populations.

25 June 2020 — Twenty (20) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 4757 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to eight hundred and fifty (850). To date, three hundred and eighty-five (385) patients have recovered and been discharged, including nine (9) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is four hundred and sixty-three (463) and two (2) deaths.


The new cases are from Rusizi (14), Kigali (4), and Kirehe (3); heightened vigilance is required everywhere. 
 All active cases are in isolation in stable condition.  

Update COVID-19 24 June 2020

24 June 2020 — Thirty-two (32) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 3415 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to eight hundred and thirty (830). To date, three hundred and seventy-six (376) patients have recovered and been discharged, including five (5) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is four hundred and fifty-two (452) and two (2) deaths.

23 June 2020 — Eleven(11) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 4568 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to seven hundred and ninety-eight (798). To date, three hundred and seventy-one (371) patients have recovered and been discharged, including one (1) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is four hundred and twenty-five (425) and two (2) deaths.


The new cases are from Rusizi (8), Kirehe (2) and Kigali (1); heightened vigilance is required everywhere.
