Mpox Outbreak in Uganda Situation Update - 10 September 2024
Uganda confirmed the first cases of Mpox on 24 July 2024 following the confirmation of two case-patients from Kasese District, Bwera Hospital by the Uganda Virus Research Institute (UVRI) through a routine sentinel surveillance system. The cumulative total confirmed Mpox cases since the declaration of the outbreak are 11 (eleven). No death has been registered among the confirmed cases.
