More than two months since the Ebola outbreak was declared in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, more than 1,000 lives have been lost. Together with the government and partners, WHO is intensifying the response — earlier case detection, quality clinical care, infection prevention and control, and community engagement. Without sustained financing, the response could slow down.
