During a recent polio vaccination campaign, the Government of Tanzania, with support from WHO and partners, mobilized and deployed over 5000 volunteer health workers in six regions to reach a target of 3 million children in 37 districts. Thanks to the dedicated efforts and commitment from all, especially the volunteer health workers, the campaign exceeded its target, reaching over 4 million children.
