The Democratic Republic of the Congo is relying on community surveillance to improve its response to Mpox.
In 2023, over 14 000 cases of Mpox were detected. With the support of its partners, the country is training community mobilizers to raise awareness of the importance of getting to a health facility quickly at the first sign of symptoms.
