WHO engages in high-level advocacy with governments and development partners to:

• Regional data hub: coordinate the development of a regional data hub to integrate health data across multiple systems at regional and national level and promote advanced analytics for evidence-based decision-making.
• Data governance: lead the finalization of the Data Governance Framework to standardize and regulate data use, privacy and security in the region.
• Investment in data systems: increase investments in systems and capacities for data, prioritizing the use of digital infrastructure.
• Data-driven culture: promote a data-driven culture at all levels to enhance evidence-based decision-making.
• Country support: support countries to generate key data and analyze and use them for informed decision-making.
