The WHO/AFRO Health Promotion, Disease Prevention and Control (DPC) Cluster was established in 2025 to better integrate the AFRO disease prevention and control programs within a health system strengthening framework through a data-centric, results-focused, and integrated cluster management approach.

The Health Systems and Services (HSS) Cluster is the WHO African Region’s platform for strengthening and transforming health systems. It supports Member States to build resilient, equitable and people-centred health systems, advancing Universal Health Coverage, the health-related SDGs and GPW14.
