To ensure continuous, effective and sustainable AMR education and awareness in the region, the World Health Organization Regional office for Africa (WHO AFRO) will be introducing monthly Education and Awareness Regional Webinar Series which will run from May to December, 2022.

The stark disparities underscored by the COVID-19 pandemic in the capacity of countries to prevent, prepare for and respond has brought to the world’s attention the need for a pandemic treaty, or for a thorough revision of International Health Regulations. Either would ensure a level legal and political global playing field regarding future pandemics and health emergencies.
