President Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete of the United Republic of Tanzania on 30th June 2009 launched the Health Sector Strategic Plan III July 2009 – June 2015 - “Partnership for Delivering the MDGs”.

The occasion which took place at the former national parliament ground in Dar Es Salaam was attended by the Hon. Minister of Health and Social Welfare Prof. David Homely Mwakyusa, the Permanent Secretary, Regional Commissioner for Dar Es Salaam, and Regional Administrative Secretaries of Dar Es Salaam and Coast, Representatives of Development Partners, Representatives of Faith Based Voluntary Organizations, the Civil Society and other invited guests. Dr. Jean Baptiste Tapko, WR a.i. represented the ONE UN in Tanzania at the launch.
