WHO recommendations for achieving universal coverage with long-lasting insecticidal nets in malaria control
Long-lasting insecticidal nets (LLINs) have played an important role in the remarkable success in reducing malaria burden over the past decade. They are a core prevention tool and are widely used by people at risk of malaria.
This document outlines strategies for combining campaigns with continuous distribution. To achieve universal coverage (access/ownership), continuous distributions should be functional before, during and after mass distribution campaigns.
Following the March 2014 meeting of the Malaria Policy Advisory Committee (MPAC), the document was updated to address LLIN quantifications for mass campaigns.
