Zambia cholera Outbreak situation Report - 27 February 2018

Lusaka District: As of 06:00hrs on 27 February, 2018 there were 13 new cases (4 children and 9 adults). There were no cholera deaths recorded in the last 24 hours) in Lusaka. There were 25 patients under treatment, 8 patients had been discharged.

  • Cumulative cases for Lusaka now stand at 4,041 with 75 deaths.

  • Countrywide: The cumulative number of cases is 4,371 with 89 deaths.

  • Based on the most recent statistics, the Case Fatality Rate for the current outbreak is 1.86%. (Facility CFR=0.73%) with a weekly incidence rate of 5/100,000 at the close of week 8.
