The Polio Eradication Program of the World Health Organization Regional Office for Africa (WHO AFRO), together with the Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI), has set in motion a comprehensive array of prevention and response strategies.

These encompass the bolstering of routine immunization, the execution of supplementary immunization activities, the augmentation of human resource capacity, provision of technical assistance, enhancement of surveillance endeavors, and the refinement of data and information management, which notably includes the utilization of cutting-edge geospatial technologies to reach every last child and make polio history, once and for all.
