Progress report on Epidemic Intelligence from Open Sources (EIOS) initiative in the WHO African Region, September 2024
The Epidemic Intelligence from Open Sources (EIOS) initiative is a cornerstone in strengthening public health intelligence. It brings together various networks and systems to create a unified, all-hazards One Health approach to early detection, verification, assessment and communication of public health threats using publicly available information.
A comprehensive overview of the initiative’s progress in the WHO African Region is provided in this report. It highlights the Region’s achievements, challenges and plans.
