At this pivotal moment in the midst of extraordinary uncertainty and challenge it is more important than ever that we take ownership of our future. With no illusions as to the scale and significance of the task ahead, I am truly humbled to submit my candidacy for the new Regional Director for Africa of the World Health Organisation.
