The Ministry of Health (MoH) and its stakeholders are conducted a national intra-action review of the COVID-19 response with the support of World Health Organization (WHO). The review lasted six days, i.e., from 06 to 10 April 2021 and was held at Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara International Conference Centre.

The President of The Republic of The Gambia, His Excellency (HE) Adama Barrow was the first to take the COVID-19 vaccine, launching the COVAX Vaccination rollout at the Statehouse in Banjul on 10^th March 2021.

World Health Organization (WHO) Gambia trained 60 local journalists on prevention and management of misinformation in the context of COVID-19.  From 18^th to 19^th January 2021, journalists were equipped with skills to deal with misconceptions and fake news like “COVID-19 is over".
