Dr Moeti Matshidiso awarded the Honorary Fellowship of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine
WHO Regional Director for Africa, Dr Moeti Matshidiso was awarded the Honorary Fellowship of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine the highest honour that is bestowed by the school to an individual. Dr Moeti’s citation was read by Prof Rosanna Peeling amidst cheers from the graduating students. Dr Moeti received the honor with her usual grace and dedicated it to all the staff of WHOAFRO at the Regional Office and 47 country offices. In a short address she spoke about the importance of encouraging women to be in Global Health Leadership and recounted her own experiences starting out.
