06 May 2020 — Seven (7) new CoVID_19 cases were identified out of 1323 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to two hundred and sixty-eight (268). To date, a hundred and thirty (130) patients have recovered and been discharged, including four (1) in the past 24 hrs. The number of active cases remains a hundred and thirty-eight (138).

 All active cases are in isolation in stable condition.  

11 May 2020 — One (1) new CoVID_19 cases was identified out of 380 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to two hundred and eighty-four (285). To date, a hundred and fifty (150) patients have recovered and been discharged, including ten (10) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is a hundred and thirty-five (135).

 All active cases are in isolation in stable condition.  

16 May 2020 — Two (2) new CoVID_19 cases were identified out of 2041 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to two hundred and eighty-nine (289). To date, a hundred and seventy-eight (178) patients have recovered and been discharged, including one (1) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is a hundred and eleven (111).

 All active cases are in isolation in stable condition.  

29 April 2020 — Thirteen (13) new CoVID_19 cases were identified out of 1705 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to two hundred and twenty-five (225). To date, ninety-eight (98) patients have recovered and been discharged, including three (3) in the past 24 hrs. The number of active cases is a hundred and twenty-seven (127).

This increase of new confirmed cases reflects a rise in cases of cross-border truck drivers and their assistants. All active cases are in isolation in stable condition.  

04 May 2020 — Two (2) new CoVID_19 cases were identified out of 746 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to two hundred and sixty-one (261). To date, a hundred and twenty-eight (128) patients have recovered and been discharged, including four (4) in the past 24 hrs. The number of active cases remains a hundred and thirty-three (133).

 All active cases are in isolation in stable condition.  

09 May 2020 — Seven (7) new CoVID_19 cases were identified out of 1198 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to two hundred and eighty (280). To date, a hundred and forty (140) patients have recovered and been discharged, including four (4) in the past 24 hrs. The number of active cases remains a hundred and forty (140).

 All active cases are in isolation in stable condition.  

14 May 2020 — No new CoVID_19 case was identified out of 895 samples tested today. The cumulative number of confirmed cases remains at two hundred and eighty-seven (287). To date, a hundred and sixty-eight (168) patients have recovered and been discharged, including four (4) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is a hundred and nineteen (119).

 All active cases are in isolation in stable condition.  

19 May 2020 — Eleven (11) new CoVID_19 cases were identified out of 1217 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to three hundred and eight (308). To date, two hundred and nine (209) patients have recovered and been discharged, including six (6) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is ninety-nine (99).

 All active cases are in isolation in stable condition.

Kampala, 19 May 2020: - The Government of Denmark has signed a grant worth Two (2) Million Dollars to support the COVID-19 response in Uganda. The grant is to be channelled through the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and will go towards the procurement of lifesaving commodities such as masks and Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) for health workers. The grant will also support the improvement of Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) services in selected districts.
