The World Health Organization in the African Region with the support of the World Economic Forum today on 19 March 2020 held a media briefing on COVID-19. In Africa, more than 600 cases have been reported as of 19 March 2020. Dr Matshidiso Moeti, the WHO Regional Director for Africa called on countries to step up the response.
