28 December 2020 — Fifty-one (51) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 2549 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases eight thousand, and twenty-one (8021). To date, six thousand, three hundred, and thirty-nine (6339) patients have recovered, including fifty (50) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is one thousand, six hundred, and seven (1607) and seventy-five (75) deaths. The new death is a male of 77 years old in Kigali.

27 December 2020 — One hundred and fifty-three (153) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 2502 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to seven thousand, nine hundred, and seventy (7970). To date, six thousand, two hundred, and eighty-nine (6289) patients have recovered, including fifty-two (62) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is one thousand, six hundred, and seven (1607) and seventy-four (74) deaths. The 2 new deaths are male of respectively 96 and 61 years old in Kigali.

26 December 2020 — Seventy-four (74) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 2174 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to seven thousand, eight hundred, and seventeen (7817). To date, six thousand, two hundred, and twenty-seven (6227) patients have recovered, including twenty-four (24) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is one thousand, five hundred, and eighteen (1518) and seventy-two (72) deaths. The 3 new deaths are male, 2 of respectively 89 and 71 years in Kigali and 1 of 61 years old in Huye District.

25 December 2020 — Seventy-three (73) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 4856 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to seven thousand, seven hundred, and forty-three (7743). To date, six thousand, two hundred, and three (6203) patients have recovered, with no one in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is one thousand, four hundred, and seventy-one (1471) and sixty-nine (69) deaths. 

24 December 2020 — Seventy-two (72) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 6436 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to seven thousand, six hundred, and seventy (7670). To date, six thousand, two hundred, and three (6203) patients have recovered, including forty (40) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is one thousand, three hundred, and ninety-eight (1398) and sixty-nine (69) deaths. The 3 new deaths are 2 female of 55 and 46 years old respectively in Huye District and in Kigali, and a male of 69 years in Kigali.

23 December 2020 — Eighty-seven (87) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 2366 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to seven thousand, five hundred, and ninety-eight (7598). To date, six thousand, one hundred, and sixty-three (6163) patients have recovered, with no one in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is one thousand, three hundred, and sixty-two (1369) and sixty-six (66) deaths.

22 December 2020 — One hundred and nine (109) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 4149 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to seven thousand, five hundred, and eleven (7511). To date, six thousand, one hundred, and sixty-three (6163) patients have recovered, including sixty-three (63) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is one thousand, two hundred, and eighty-two (1282) and sixty-six (66) deaths. The new death is a male of 28 years old in Kigali.

Juba, 22 December 2020 – In line with Eliminate Yellow Fever Epidemics (EYE) strategy to prevent international spread of yellow fever, the World Health Organization (WHO) donated 2 000 doses of yellow fever vaccine to South Sudan’s Ministry of Health to provide protection against the yellow fever virus for international travellers and those living in areas where the disease is present.

Juba, 22 December 2020 – to prevent the risk of a cholera outbreak following the devastating floods that displaced communities and led to contamination of water sources in Bor South county, the Ministry of Health with support from World Health Organization (WHO) and partners vaccinated over 63 280 individuals aged one year and above against cholera.
