08 October 2020 — Two (2) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 1935 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to four thousand, eight hundred, and eighty-five (4885). To date, three thousand, five hundred, and forty-two (3542) patients have recovered and been discharged, including one hundred and thirty-four (134) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is one thousand, three hundred, and fourteen (1314) and twenty-nine (29) deaths.

This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to four thousand, eight hundred, and eighty-three (4883). To date, three thousand, four hundred, and eight (3408) patients have recovered and been discharged, including one hundred and sixty-two (162) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is one thousand, five hundred, and forty-six (1446) and twenty-nine (29) deaths.

UK Gives £1.3 Million to Fight COVID-19 in Uganda
Kampala, 8th October 2020- The British Government recently released a grant of GBP 1.322 million (UGX 6.11 billion) to support various aspects of Uganda’s fight against COVID-19. Activities funded by the UK grant are being implemented by two United Nations agencies, the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to four thousand, eight hundred, and sixty-seven (4867). To date, three thousand, two hundred, and twenty-six (3226) patients have recovered and been discharged, including ten (10) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is one thousand, six hundred, and twelve (1612) and twenty-nine (29) deaths.
The new case is in Kigali (1); heightened vigilance is required everywhere.

The number of active cases is one thousand, six hundred, and twenty-one (1621) and twenty-nine (29) deaths.
