Regional Committee Sessions

The First special session of the WHO Regional Committee for Africa will be held in a virtual format on 14 January 2025 under Special procedures for the conduct of the virtual special session of the Regional Committee for Africa.  

The working hours will be 10:00 to 13:00, Brazzaville time (UTC +1).

The Seventy-fourth session of the WHO Regional Committee for Africa will be held in-person in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo, from 26 to 30 August 2024.
The Seventy-third session of the WHO Regional Committee for Africa was held in a hybrid format from 26 August to 1 September 2023 under Special procedures for the conduct of the hybrid session of the Regional Committee for Africa.
The Seventy-second session of the WHO Regional Committee for Africa was held in a hybrid format from 22 to 26 August 2022 under Special procedures for the conduct of the hybrid session of the Regional Committee for Africa.
The Seventy-first session of the WHO Regional Committee for Africa was held in a virtual format from 24 to 26 August 2021under Special procedures for the conduct of the virtual session of the Regional Committee for Africa.
The virtual session of the 70th Regional Committee for Africa will be held on 25 August 2020, starting at 09:30 hours GMT + 1. The virtual session will be held under the Special procedures to regulate the conduct of the virtual session of the Regional Committee for Africa. Two key events will be held during the virtual session, firstly on the COVID-19 response in the region, and secondly on Celebrating certification of wild poliovirus eradication in the WHO African Region.
