COVID-19 accelerated response caravan begins countrywide operation

Luanda, 16 April 2020 - A caravan of public health specialists left the capital Luanda today for the regions as the country ramps up COVID-19 emergency response. The team will work with provincial administrative and health authorities to bolster their capacity to curb the virus from spreading further.

16 April 2020 — Two (2) new CoVID_19 cases were identified today, out of 664 samples tested in the last 24 hours. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to a hundred and thirty-eight (138). To date, sixty (60) patients have recovered, including six (6) in the past 24 hours, bringing the number of active cases to seventy-eight (78).
•    One (1) contact of previously confirmed positive case, who was identified through tracing
•    One (1) person with recent travel history

15 April 2020 — Two (2) new CoVID_19 cases were identified today, out of 923 samples tested in the last 24 hours. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to a hundred and thirty-six (136), of whom fifty-four (54) have recovered including five (5) in the past 24 hours, and been discharged.
•    Two (2) contacts of previously confirmed positive cases, who were identified through tracing.

14 April 2020 — Seven (7) new CoVID_19 cases were identified today, out of 983 samples tested in the last 24 hours. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to a hundred and thirty-four (134), of whom forty-nine (49) have recovered including seven (7) in the past 24 hours, and been discharged.
•    Seven (7) contacts of previously confirmed positive cases, who were identified through tracing.

World Health Organization: 28 cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Mozambique

Maputo – 14, April 2020 – In Mozambique, the number of positive cases for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has increased to 28, with seven (7) new COVID-19 cases confirmed in the last 24 hours, announced the National Director for Public Health, Dr. Rosa Marlene, during the daily press conference on the status of the coronavirus pandemic.

This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to a hundred and twenty-seven (127), of whom forty-two (42) have recovered including seventeen (17) in the past 24 hours, and been discharged.

This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to a hundred and twenty-six (126), of whom twenty-five (25) have recovered including seven (7) in the past 24 hours, and been discharged.
