Dar es Salaam – The World Health Organization (WHO) and the Government of Ireland have signed an agreement to pilot a new project that will improve ongoing efforts to strengthen health system resilience to effectively respond to emergencies in Tanzania.
In 2021, the World Health Organization (WHO) unveiled the neglected tropical diseases (NTD) roadmap 2021-2030, initiating a decade dedicated on controlling, eliminating, and eradicating NTDs. The WHO Regional Office for Africa is stepping up support for countries on the implementation of the roadmap to bolster the fight against NTDs and accelerate progress towards attainment of the roadmap targets and goals.
Brazzaville - The fight against neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) has received a major boost with a landmark commitment by donors and partners to invest over US$ 777 million boost efforts to eliminate and eradicate NTDs.
